AP cabinet expansion on July 22, two MLAs will get minister posts
By Newsmeter Network Published on 20 July 2020 5:09 PM GMTVijayawada : With the two cabinet births lying vacant after the two former ministers, Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose and Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao have resigned after electing as Rajya Sabha members, the expansion of the Andhra Pradesh cabinet is likely to take place on July 22.
Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Biswabhusan Harichandan on the advice of chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been accepted the resignations tendered by Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Revenue, Registrations, and Stamps Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose and Minister for Animal Husbandry, Fisheries Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao with immediate effect. These portfolios will be held by the chief minister until the alternative arrangements are made.
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would induct two new ministers followed by the swearing-in program on July 22. Rumors spread that the chief minister has decided to give a chance to the same section of society who resigned for the cabinet posts.
Sources said that Venugopal Krishna, a Ramachandrapuram MLA from East Godavari district and Palasa MLA Sidiri Appalaraju from Srikakulam district of North Andhra Pradesh is likely to be inducted as a minister. The names of the cabinet members will be officially announced by the government on Tuesday. The ruling party leaders said there could be no change in the portfolios.
