AP to conduct SSC exams from 23 March, inter from 4 March

Hyderabad: The secondary school certificate (SSC) examination will be held from 23 March to 8 April, while the intermediate exams will take place from 4 March to 23 March in Andhra Pradesh.

While speaking to the media here on 26 February, education minister A. Suresh said, "The Andhra Pradesh State Board of Intermediate Education (APBIE) will conduct the annual board examination for classes XI and XII from 4 to 23 March. The board of secondary education will conduct the board examination for Class X from 23 March to 8 April."

More than 10 lakh students will appear for intermediate board exams at 1,411 centers, while 6,39,022 students will appear for SSC board exams at 2,923 centers across Andhra Pradesh.

Mr Suresh said that he had directed the district officials to make all the necessary arrangements for the exams. Coordination teams, including officials from departments of revenue, health, police, labor, and medical agencies, have been formed for the smooth conduct of the exams. Also, Section 144 will be imposed at all examination centers, he said.

He also said that 56 flying squads were appointed for the SSC exam and 130 for intermediate exams across the state. Two task force teams were constituted for each district to monitor the intermediate exams. A control room will also be operational from 4 March at Vijayawada to monitor the intermediate exams, the minister said.
