Army jawan from Peddapalli ends life in north kashmir

Telangana: A 27-year-old army soldier from Peddapalli district of Telangana died by suicide at Boniyar camp in the Uri sector of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday.
Identified as S Srinivas, he was posted with 226 Field Unit at Boniyar. Sources said he shot himself from his service rifle inside the camp. After hearing the gunshots, his colleagues immediately rushed to the spot and found him in the pool of blood. He was evacuated to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
Police have taken cognizance of the matter and started investigations. The army too has started an internal inquiry to find the reasons for his suicide.
Later in the day, two Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) soldiers were killed when their colleague went berserk and opened indiscriminate firing in the camp at Kulgam district of South Kashmir
The deceased have been identified ASI Sandeep Kumar and Constable Hemant Sharma of 49-battalion of SSB.
