Jagans recruitment drive : 22 lakh compete for AP Grama Sachivalayam posts

Hyderabad: 22 lakh aspirants are going to appear for the examination of the village secretariat posts in Andhra Pradesh. The examinations will be conducted from September 1 to 8. There are 1,26,728 posts notified for the village secretariats across the state. 10 types of posts have been created in every village secretariat including village secretary, village revenue officer, village engineer, etc.

The government dubbed this notification as to the first gift to youth from Chief Minister Jagan. This massive job notification is part of the YSR Congress Partyā€™s manifesto.

The minimum qualification for the above posts is intermediate but B.Tech and M.Tech qualifiers have also applied for the posts, showing the poor employment conditions in the state. Those who would be appointed in the village secretary will get Rs.15,000 salary per month. After two years, they will be implemented a regular pay scale on a par with state government employees.

Principal Secretary for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Gopalakrishna Dwivedi has been assigned the duty of completing the entire process of filling the posts. He told media on Thursday that the examinations will be conducted in 5,314 centres across the state. Carbon copy of the answer sheet will be given to the candidates, he said.

The key will be issued on the same day after the examination is over, told Dwivedi. He urged the candidates not to believe rumors. The examination would be conducted in a foolproof manner and candidates should not resort to any fraudulent methods to get the jobs, which attracts severe punishment, he advised the job seekers through media.
