‘Asuran’ team has Mahesh Babu awestruck.

Actor Mahesh Babu, whenever watches a new film makes sure he takes to social media to praise the movie and congratulate the team for the success. The actor is yet again heaping praises for a movie he watched recently. Mahesh took to his social media account to praise Dhanush’s movie ‘Asuran’.

He wrote, “Asuran...raw real and intense... Cinema at its best Congratulations @dhanushkraja @VetriMaaran @prakashraaj @gvprakash @theVcreations @VelrajR and entire team #Asuran.” (sic)

‘Asuran’ which released less than three weeks ago has garnered around Rs 100 crore and is still running in the theatres successfully. Besides Dhanush, actors like Manju Warrier, Pasupathy, Prakash Raj and Aadukalam Naren play significant roles in the film. The Dhanush starrer addressed several social issues like land grabbing, oppression, caste injustice and discrimination.

Initially, the film did not see any collections as it was competing with Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Namma Vettu Pillai’. This film is a family entertainer, attracted audiences more and first than ‘Asuran’. But, it is now ‘Asuran’ turn, and the film has slowly and steady seen its collections rises.

Directed by Vetrimaaran, the film has not been released in Telugu, despite Dhanush having a good market. We have to wait and see if the makers will do it now at least.

The film is based on Poomani’s novel called ‘Vekkai’, which was published three years ago. The film is all about a family of five in the ‘80s – Siva Saami (Dhanush), his sons Murugan and Chidamabaram, wife Pachaiyamma (Manju Warrier) and their little daughter. The riveting sage has been receiving glowing praises from all quarters of the country.

Besides, Dhanush is also awaiting the release of his upcoming film ‘Enna Nokki Payum Thota’, a Gautham Vasudev Menon’s directorial. This will be released in Telugu as ‘Thoota’. This film has Megha Akash as the leading lady.
