Hyderabad: In a horrific incident, a youngster, who had been allegedly stalking and harassing a girl, was killed by the girl's family in Medak district, Telangana on Wednesday. The victim, Narsimhulu, who suffered severe injuries in the attack, succumbed at the hospital, police officials said.

Narsimhulu, 28, and the girl, 23, belong to the same village, Rampur in Nizampet mandal of the district. While he has stopped education and became addicted to alcohol and other bad vices, the girl was studying in a college.

Meanwhile, he proposed to the girl but she refused. However, he continued stalking her and harassed her. Unable to bear the harassment, the girl approached police and a case has been registered against him in 2019.

Recently, the girl's family fixed her marriage and it was scheduled a few days later. Knowing about the girl’s marriage, Narsimhulu procured her fiancee's contact number. He called the fiancee and informed him about the case against him reported by the girl. He also said that he knew how to marry a girl who had approached the police and also made some abusive comments about the girl and her family.

As a result, the groom's family decided to drop the marriage proposal and informed the same to the girl's family. On enquiry, they informed about the phone call from Narsimhulu and other details.

Enraged with this, the girl’s family rushed to Narsimhulu's house on Wednesday morning and attacked him, leaving him with multiple injuries.

He was shifted to the nearby government hospital, where he succumbed to the injuries.

Medak district police registered a murder case against the girl's family and detained them for interrogation.
