Nani Is 'Awe' Struck!

At the 66th National Awards 2019, the Telugu film industry bagged seven prestigious awards. Keerthy Suresh who played the role of legendary actress Savitri bagged the Best Actress Award for the film ‘Mahanati’.

Prashanth Varma said, “Life is full of surprises. I expected 'Awe' to grab a National Award for the Best Makeup Artist/Best Costume Designer/ Best Original Screenplay categories. But, this has made me extremely happy. ‘Awe’ was accepted by all sections of audiences. The movie did great on the commercial front too.”

Actor Nani, who turned producer for the experimental movie seems to be very happy. Nani took to Twitter to congratulate the National Award winners and expressed his happiness regarding 'Awe'.

"Wall poster cinema team is very proud today. 2 national awards for our debut production. what more can we ask. Thank u to all our cast and crew. Thank u jury and congratulations to all the award winners(sic),” the star tweeted.

Nani said that he had begun the production house (Wall Poster Cinema) to encourage new talent and that his movie being picked for the National Awards has increased his responsibility as a producer.
