Baby delivered in toilet dead

Ananthapur: A baby who was delivered in a hospital toilet died on Saturday. The incident took place in Hindupur in Anantapur district and came to light early on Saturday morning.

A woman from Hindupur town in Ananthapur district delivered a baby on Friday at midnight in the toilet of the Hindupur Government General Hospital and fled from there. On Saturday early in the morning hospital staff found the infant’s dead body and complained to the police immediately.

According to sources, the woman who is from Hindupur is alleged to have had an illicit relationship with someone and had got pregnant.

The incident has become big news in the town and police are enquiring about the concerned woman. Apparently the woman and her partner have absconded from the town. Police filed a case and investigation is on.
