Band, Baja Baraat! Rana Daggubati weds Miheeka Bajaj

Hyderabad: Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj tied the knot on Saturday in Hyderabad. Wishes from Fans, friends and relatives pours in for the couple. Celebrity couple Ram Chandra Teja and Upasana Kameneni, shared a picture with the couple, wishing them best for life.

Earlier in the day, the actor was seen posing for a snapshot with his uncle Daggubati Venkatesh and father Suresh Babu in the pre-wedding ceremonies.

"I am ready for the D Day," he said.

An alumna of Chelsea University, Miheeka owns event management and an interior designing firm.

On the Haldi ceremony, Miheeka rocked with a yellow Lehenga and shell themed jewelry. The couple sported minimalistic yet grand attire for the Haldi ceremony.

Due to the pandemic, the families of the two have decided to invite close family friends and relatives to prevent the spread of the virus.

Samantha Akkineni too took to her social media to share the pictures from the wedding ceremony. She posted a candid picture with Rana with a caption: “It was time to celebrate”. She also put a hashtag, Rana weds Miheeka.

"It was a small, intimate, and beautiful ceremony and we’re all very excited. The shaadi ka mahaul is here and the celebrations have begun at our house. Our immediate family attended the ceremony and a couple of family members from Rana’s side too had come over to be with Miheeka for her haldi,” said Bunty Bajaj, bride's mom

In a candid Instagram post, Rana surprised his fans with an honest and heartfelt revelation of how the whole love story unfolded.

"She was Ashritha's (Venkatesh Daggubati's older daughter) classmate and I knew her for a long time. However, the decision to get married happened pre-lockdown. It's the first time I thought I will get married. That means she did something to me, right? I went with the flow. And when good things happen, you don't question why it did. It all went from shock to joy. Be it, my parents or my sister, it was something that they wanted for a long time. So, they were really happy. I think I found the strangest time to get married. I reconnected with her a couple of months ago and I felt that I can do this long term with her. Actually, she knew what I was going to ask over the phone. So, I met her in person and said a bunch of nice things. She was shocked at first, but was happy (sic),” he said

The duo has been a part of friend circle for a long time. Before lockdown, Rana proposed to his ladylove. And as they say, rest is history.
