Bank employee murdered in Chief Ministers constituency

Hyderabad: A 25-year-old bank employee was brutally murdered in Chief Minister K Chandra Shekar Rao’s assembly constituency of Gajwel in Siddipet district on Tuesday.

Identified as Divya, an employee of Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank (APGVB) Gajwel branch, she was found in a pool of blood at her home.

Divya was scheduled to get married later this month. According to Siddipet police, Divya hails from Yellareddypeta in Rajanna Siricilla district,

Police said on Tuesday her parents, who were also putting up with her, had gone out to shop for her wedding. Police said when they returned home, they found Divya lying in a pool of blood. They rushed her to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared her dead.

Police along with dog squad and clues team rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area. Police suspect that the accused might have slit her throat with a sharp weapon. Gajwel police registered a case and have deputed special teams to nab the offenders.

Police are investigating whether there was more than one person involved in the crime. Though the motive behind the murder is not known, police are looking into multiple angles. Police are also investigating whether any stalker, who might have proposed but got rejected, might have killed her. Her parents however are clueless.
