Three sisters go missing from Vizag

Visakhapatnam: Three sisters reportedly went missing from their home in the Dwarakanagar area in Visakhapatnam city. Mindi Anuradha (22), Tulasi (20), and Komali (17) left their home on the evening of 17 February and have not returned home yet. The youngest sister is a BSc student of BVK College in the city.

The incident came to light after Dwaraka police registered a missing case on Monday night based on a complaint from their father, Mindi Yerram Naidu, who works as a watchman in an apartment in the Dwarakanagar area. According to the police, the three reportedly left home when their parents were not home. When they came back they found their daughters missing and started a search. At around 7 p.m, they recieved a message on their mobile phone from their daughters who told them they had left the home intentionally. They also asked them not to search for them as they were ending their lives. When the parents tried to call back, the phone was switched off.

At around 2 p.m on Tuesday, the parents received another message from the daughters who said they were safe and also told them to take care of their health. According to sources, the parents suspect the three are in Chennai. Dwaraka police formed three teams who are checking CCTV footages at various parts of the city, including bus stations, railway station, and are also inquiring with the various travel agents.
