Brother raises land dispute, Akhila Priya in fresh trouble
By Anurag Mallick Published on 22 Nov 2019 9:45 AM GMTHyderabad: Former Tourism Minister, Akhila Priya Reddy has once again landed up in trouble and this time it is from her own sibling.
Her younger brother, Jagath Vikhyat Reddy, has knocked court's door over a property dispute with his sisters.
Amidst her estranged relations with family and friends, her own brother approaching the Ranga Reddy additional court has shocked her.
Ever after her husband Bhargav Ram went missing, following the cases booked against him, looks like Akhila Priya's turn to face the music, all over again.
It all began with their mother Shobha Nagi Reddyās 1,000 sq.ft land in Rajendra Nagar Mandal (now Gandipet). In 2014, Shobha Nagi Reddy died in a road accident while returning from an election campaign. Following her death, Bhumi Nagi Reddy sold the land for Rs. two crore two years later where both his daughters, Akhila Priya and Mounika Reddy signed the property papers as Jagath Vikhyat gave his thumb impression.
With the land rate having doubled, Vikhyat Reddy has approached claiming that he was a minor at that time and had no inclination as to when his father and sisters had sold it. He justified claiming his part of the property.
Notices have also been sent to S. Sudhakar Reddy, Harita Venkata Chimala, Subbarya Prapullachand Returi, Praveena Rangola, and Syed Ahtesham Hussain who purchased the land.
In the notice the address reads: Plot no. 43, opposite JHPS, Road no. 71, Filmnagar, Jubilee hills, Hyderabad. Ironically, the notices sent to his sisters bear the same address.
