Analytics India magazine lists minister Sridhar Babu in top 100 AI influencers

Hyderabad: Minister for IT, Electronics and Communications, Industries and Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, has been featured in Analytics India magazine’s ‘India’s 100 Most Influential People in AI – 2025’ list.

The annual recognition, released on August 11, spotlights leaders whose work is shaping India’s Artificial Intelligence ecosystem.

The list is organised alphabetically within categories, without rankings. Sridhar Babu appears under the Policy Makers category, alongside prominent figures such as:

• Aakrit Vaish – Advisor, IndiaAI Mission

• Abhishek Singh – CEO, IndiaAI Mission & DG, NIC

• Amitabh Kant – Former CEO, NITI Aayog

• Ashwini Vaishnaw – Union Minister for Electronics & IT

AI initiatives in Telangana

Under Sridhar Babu’s leadership, the State has undertaken multiple AI-focused initiatives, including:

• Launch of the AI-Powered Telangana Strategy & Roadmap for responsible AI deployment.

• Introduction of the Telangana Data Exchange to enable secure data-sharing for AI governance and innovation.

• Hosting of the Global AI Summit, connecting government, academia, and industry.

• A target to establish 100 Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in Telangana by 2025–26.

• Plans to create an AI University to advance AI research, innovation, and skill development.
