CCI approves Tata's acquisition of Air India

As per the proposed plan, the acquisition of 100% equity share capital of Air India and AIXL, and 50% share capital of AISATS by Talace has been agreed upon.

CCI approves Tatas acquisition of Air India

Hyderabad: The Competition Commission of India on Monday approved the acquisition of Air India Limited (Air India), Air India Express Limited (AIXL), and Air India SATS Airport Services (AISATS) Private Limited by Talace Private Limited (Talace).

As per the proposed plan, the acquisition of 100% equity share capital of Air India and AIXL, and 50% share capital of AISATS by Talace has been agreed upon.

Talace is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Sons.

Earlier, Air India was wholly owned by the government of India.
