Hyderabad: IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu assumed office on Thursday and signed three files that dealt with the long pending demands of stakeholders of the IT and Industries departments.
The first initiative was to develop an exclusive policy for MSMEs and to set up an institutional mechanism for handholding and supporting MSMEs in the State, the backbone of industrial growth and employment creation in the State.
The second initiative deals with the creation of a platform for online filing of Right to Information applications, that is applicable across departments, an issue that had been consistently raised by RTI activists and civil society in the past, given that multiple other states already have this facility in place.
This platform is expected to promote increased accountability and transparency in government departments across the board.
The third initiative deals with making all government departments and agencies use digital technologies to improve public service delivery and departmental efficiency. Accordingly, an immediate study will be conducted to assess the preparedness of all departments and identify opportunities to use digital tools.
Similarly, Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, Women and Child Welfare minister Seethakka's, also known as Dansari Anasuya, first sign as a minister was an order upgrading 3,989 mini Aanganwadi centres to main centres.
