GMR Hyderabad Air Cargo, TSRTC sign MoU to launch cargo bus feeder service
According to the MoU, TSRTC will start first-mile pick-up and delivery service to the GHAC terminal.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 7 Nov 2020 9:32 AM GMTHyderabad: GMR Hyderabad Air Cargo (GHAC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) on 7 November to jointly promote international export and import cargo through the launch of a one-of-its-kind first mile and last mile cargo bus feeder service (BFS) that will connect the GHAC terminal to other parts of Telangana and neighbouring states.
According to the MoU, TSRTC will start first-mile pick-up and delivery service to the GHAC terminal. It will also provide the last-mile connectivity for international import shipments landing at the Hyderabad airport for connections to hinterland areas in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. This partnership also envisages the launch of a reefer cargo bus service that will provide reliable connectivity for exports of pharma and perishable products through the Hyderabad airport.
GHAC, a division of GMR Air Cargo and Aerospace Engineering Limited (GACAEL), is one of India's leading and modern air cargo terminal providing a range of facilities to cater to various types of cargo. It specialises in handling sensitive cargo such as pharma, vaccines, perishables, and aerospace, engineering, and electronic goods. It has dedicated cold rooms and processing facilities to handle temperature-controlled shipments up to -20 degrees Celsius.
