Honda crosses 25L two-wheelers sales in Telangana

Hyderabad: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) on Tuesday announced that its cumulative sales have crossed 25 lakh units in Telangana. Honda sold more than one lakh scooters in the state between April and November 2020. Interestingly, while scooters contribution across the country stood at 29 per cent, it has increased to 33 per cent in Telangana, said a press release from the company.

According to the release, Activa continues to be the highest-selling two-wheeler of Telangana. Overall, Honda's grip strengthened in Telangana with 38 per cent market share. This implies that every third customer in the region rides a Honda two-wheeler.

While it took Honda 14 years to reach 10 lakh customers in Telangana (2001 – 2014), the next 15 lakh customers have joined the Honda family in just a little over six years, the release said.
