Hyderabad: India's EV charging company Thunder Plus partners with Oyika for expansion in SEA

Hyderabad: India's electric vehicle (EV) charging company Thunder Plus has entered into a strategic partnership with Singapore-based battery swapping firm Oyika to expand in the Southeast Asia (SEA) region.

This collaboration aims to enhance the region's EV infrastructure and accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles by integrating Thunder Plus's advanced charging solutions into Oyika's existing network.

Expansion of Charging Products

As part of the strategic engagement, Thunder Plus will introduce its complete range of charging products in Southeast Asia.

This includes advanced two-wheeler and three-wheeler fast chargers, which will be integrated into Oyika's existing battery-swapping stations throughout the region. This integration is set to enhance the EV infrastructure for users across Southeast Asia.

Strengthening the Export Market

This collaboration is expected to boost Thunder Plus’s export market. It will help the company establish a strong presence in the rapidly growing EV markets of Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Singapore.

The partnership will also facilitate the exchange of technological expertise between the two companies, leveraging each other’s business networks to accelerate EV adoption in Southeast Asia.

Launch of the Thunder Lite Charger

As a mark of this partnership, Raj Kumar, Director of Thunder Plus, presented the company's flagship product, the Thunder Lite. The Thunder Lite is a 3.3 KW AC universal charger capable of charging any vehicle from two-wheelers to four-wheelers. It can convert any wall or pole into an electric charging station.
