Hyderabad: Minister for Culture and Tourism Jupally Krishna Rao called for Hyderabad hosting the next edition of the Nobel Peace Summit. He made this proposal while extending heartfelt thanks to the Nobel Peace Secretariat for inviting him to the prestigious 19th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates, scheduled to be held from September 18 to 21 in Monterrey, Mexico.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, the minister will be unable to attend in person. In his place, Sundeep Kumar Makthala, chairman of Tconsult and an advocate for peace in the technology sector, and Prof. Prasad Gollanapalli, chairman of the Gandhi King Foundation, will represent Telangana at this historic event.

Krishna Rao expressed deep appreciation for the summitā€™s role in uniting Nobel Peace Laureates and global leaders to foster strategies for a more peaceful world.

In a pivotal move, he formally proposed Hyderabad, the capital city of Telangana, as the host for the next edition of the Nobel Peace Summit. The minister highlighted Hyderabadā€™s reputation as a global hub for innovation, culture, and technology, making it an ideal venue for this prestigious gathering.

Speaking on the occasion, Krishna Rao said, ā€œHyderabad is a city that beautifully blends heritage with innovation. It is the perfect host for the next Nobel Peace Summit, and we are fully committed to providing all necessary support to ensure its success. This will not only elevate our state but also position India at the heart of the global peace dialogue.ā€

Sundeep Kumar Makthala, a leader in the technology sector and founder of the ā€˜Cyber Satyagrahaā€™ movementā€”a non-violent campaign advocating peace in the digital ageā€”will lead Telanganaā€™s representation at the Monterrey Summit. Makthala will contribute to discussions with Nobel Peace Laureates, policymakers, and global thought leaders, sharing insights on how technology can be leveraged for peacebuilding.

Joining him is Prof. Prasad Gollanapalli, chairman of the Gandhi King Foundation and an eminent figure in peace advocacy. Together, they will represent the stateā€™s growing influence in international peace efforts, showcasing Telanganaā€™s vision of combining innovation with social justice.
