Nara Lokesh lays stone for Reliance bio-gas plant in Prakasam district
Kanigiri: The ruling NDA government has initiated a significant industrial project in the financially backward sections of the Prakasam district as the minister for education and IT, Nara Lokesh, laid the foundation stone for the Integrated Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) Plant being set up by Reliance New Energy near Divakarapalli village in PC Palli Mandal, Kanigiri constituency.
Upon arriving at the plant site, minister Lokesh was warmly welcomed by coalition representatives, TDP leaders, and party workers. Acknowledging the enthusiastic reception, he greeted the attendees as he made his way to the event.
Production capacity of 100 tonnes
Spanning 475 acres, this state-of-the-art CBG plant is being established with an investment of Rs 139 crore and a production capacity of 100 tonnes. This project is the first of Relianceās 500 CBG plants across the State. Minister Nara Lokesh performed the foundation stone-laying ceremony for this pioneering facility on Wednesday.
Reliance Industries is investing a total of Rs 65,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh, which is expected to generate employment and livelihood opportunities for approximately 2.5 lakh individuals. The company is also setting up four CBG hubs across India, with one of them strategically located in the Prakasam district.
