PM Modi to visit Vizag on Jan 8 to open NTPC Green Hydrogen hub, lay foundation for railway zone
Modi will participate in a roadshow from Sampath Vinayaka Temple to the Andhra University Engineering College grounds

Visakhapatnam: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Visakhapatnam on January 8, to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth over Rs 2 lakh crore, including the NTPC Integrated Green Hydrogen Hub.
He will participate in a roadshow from Sampath Vinayaka Temple to the Andhra University Engineering College grounds, where a public meeting will take place in the evening.
Launch of NTPC Integrated Green Hydrogen Hub
During the visit, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone and virtually inaugurate the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Integrated Green Hydrogen Hub in Pudimadaka, Nakkapalli Mandal.
The hub has been built with a total investment of Rs 65,370 crore in three phases. Spread over 1,600 acres, this ambitious initiative has been aimed at turning Andhra Pradesh into a green energy powerhouse, making India a global leader in green hydrogen production. The project is said to create 25,000 jobs. The project entails an investment of around Rs 1,85,000 crore.
The facility will produce 1,500 tonnes of green hydrogen per day, along with 4,500 tonnes of green ammonia, 1,500 tonnes of green methanol, and 1,500 tonnes of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) or green urea daily. This output is set to make India a prominent exporter of green energy products. This hub is part of Indiaās ambitious goal to produce 5 million metric tons of green hydrogen annually by 2030.
KRIS City
The prime minister will also lay the foundation stone for the Krishnapatnam Industrial Area (KRIS City) under the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor in Tirupati District. The KRIS City, a flagship project under the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme, is envisioned as a greenfield industrial smart city.
The project is set to attract significant manufacturing investments of around Rs 10,500 crore and is also projected to create around 1 lakh direct and indirect jobs, significantly enhancing livelihoods and driving regional progress
Bulk Drug Park
PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for a bulk drug park in Nakkapalli, which will be developed at a cost of Rs 1,876.66 crore on 2,001.8 acres, with an estimated investment of Rs 11,542 crore, for creating 54,000 jobs.
