Shiprocket begins same-day delivery in Hyderabad to meet growing consumer demand

Hyderabad: Shiprocket, a nationwide e-commerce enablement platform, has launched Same Day Delivery (SDD) in Hyderabad. By introducing same-day delivery, Shiprocket said it is aiming to democratise high-speed delivery, ensuring that MSMEs can also offer quicker deliveries and stay competitive. The service is already live in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata.

Higher conversions and retaining customers in a $10 billion market

With e-commerce shifting towards speed-driven consumer expectations, merchants who offer quick deliveries see higher conversions and stronger customer retention. A Market Data Forecast report stated that India’s Same Day Delivery market is projected to surpass $10 billion by 2028 at a CAGR of 23.6 per cent. Shiprocket said it wants to lead the transformation by leveraging its advanced tech-driven platform and strategic courier partnerships to bring quick commerce capabilities to a broad spectrum of sellers.

Beauty and grooming, clothing and accessories, and books top orders

Hyderabad is a high-potential e-commerce hub, with an average order value of Rs 1,850. The top three selling categories in the city include beauty and grooming, clothing and accessories and books. With Same Day Delivery, Shiprocket hopes to provide Hyderabad-based sellers a powerful tool to enhance customer satisfaction, drive repeat purchases and scale their businesses.

Shiprocket’s Same Day Delivery will have these options:

- Orders picked up between 12 pm to 1 pm from a merchant’s location will be delivered on the same day.

- Orders picked up by 3 pm from the seller’s location or warehouse will be delivered on the same day with PICO as the courier partner.
