Hyderabad: Garmin Instinct 2 smartwatch has arrived in India, featuring a rugged design. This new smartwatch caters to the athletic and fitness enthusiasts who usually go on an adventure spree and require a strong-built smartwatch.
The Instinct 2 range comes with solar technology along with a host of sensors such as the altimeter, barometer, and compass. The watch series has the trackback feature that navigates the user to the start point without any hassle while running and walking.
Garmin Instinct 2 smartwatch specifications
The new Garmin watch series comprises six different offerings such as the Instinct 2S, Instinct 2S Solar, Instinct 2, Instinct 2 Camo Edition, Instinct 2 Solar, and Instinct 2 Solar Camo Edition.
The Solar edition watches from the brand come with unlimited battery life on the smartwatch mode and 48-hours of backup on the GPS mode.
The company has built this rugged smartwatch range in compliance with the United States Military Standard 810. This means the watches are thermal, shock, and water-resistant for up to 100 meters. Further, the displays on these watches feature a chemically-strengthened material and scratch-resistant glass.
Garmin has provided numerous health features on the Instinct 2 Series smartwatches. The health-tracking features include hydration tracking, connect leaderboard, and menstrual cycle and pregnancy tracking. Moreover, the watch series can track stress and heart rate.
The sensors on the Instinct 2 series will help the watches track fitness age, training status/load/effect, recovery time, HIIT workouts, and daily suggested workouts. Additionally, the watches come with an incident detection feature that alerts your close ones in case of an emergency. The feature enabled on the Garmin Connect app will send a message with the GPS location to the emergency contacts.
Price and availability
The Garmin Instinct 2S and the Instinct 2S Solar costs Rs. 33,990 and Rs. 43,990, respectively. They come in Graphite color. The vanilla Garmin Instinct 2 gets a price tag of Rs. 36,990, while the Instinct 2 Camo edition costs Rs. 41,490.
The top-of-the-line models in the series which are the Instinct 2 Solar and the Instinct 2 Solar Tactical Edition cost Rs. 46,990 and Rs. 51,990, respectively. These high-end watches flaunt Graphite Tidal Blue and Black and Coyote Tan colours.
The watches will go on sale from 14 March on Amazon, Flipkart, Synergizer, Tata Cliq, Tata Luxury, Helios, Just in Time, and Decathlon in India.
