Hyderabad: US’ Southwest Airlines to establish global innovation centre in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: US’ Southwest Airlines has decided to establish a global innovation centre (GIC) in Hyderabad.
The announcement was made during a meeting between Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the Southwest Airlines delegation in the Secretariat on Thursday. Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy was also present on the occasion.
Southwest Airlines delegation included Chief Information Officer Lauren Woods; Chief Technology Officer Tom Merritt; Jason Shying, Head, Legal Counsel; and Sarthak Brahma from HEX Advisory Group.
The Chief Minister hailed senior leadership from Southwest Airlines for deciding to set up a global innovation center in Hyderabad.
CM Revanth said the government aims to achieve a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047, as part of the state's `Telangana Rising 2047’ vision.
Special Chief Secretary, Chief Minister's Office, Jayesh Ranjan, and Special Secretary to Chief Minister B. Ajith Reddy also attended the meeting.
