Telangana plans to introduce six new industrial policies
CM Revanth advised officials to formulate a new policy to benefit the power loom and handloom workers and promote the textile industry in the state
By Newsmeter Network Published on 21 May 2024 1:21 PM GMTHyderabad: To facilitate industrial development in the State, the Telangana Congress government is planning to introduce six new industrial policies: MSME Policy, Export Policy, New Life Sciences Policy, Revised EV Policy, Medical Tourism Policy and GreeTelangana plans to introduce six new industrial policiesn Energy Policy.
This was revealed by the officials of the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) during a review meeting with chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday.
During the meeting, CM Revanth reviewed the industrial growth in Telangana and directed the officials to formulate policies that will help Telangana compete with other countries in industrial development. He also made suggestions for the new industrial policies for the state.
Upgradation of industrial policies in Telangana was one of the promises made by Congress ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

During the meeting, the officials updated CM Revanth on the decisions taken during the previous review meetings and the progress of the works.

The chief minister directed the officials to finalise the industrial policies before the end of the election period and asked them to study the best industrial policies adopted in other countries to develop Telangana on international standards.
