CISCE declares ICSE, ISC results; 99.9% Telangana students pass
By Newsmeter Network Published on 10 July 2020 7:36 PM ISTHyderabad : The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) declared the Class X ICSE and class XII ISC results on 10 July. Over three lakh students had appeared for the exams. Of the 4,487 students from 40 schools who appeared for ICSE from Telangana, 99.9 percent of them passed.
Nationally, 2,06,525 students passed the class X exams, while 85,611 cleared the ISC exams. The overall pass percentage for class X was 99.34 percent.
The percentage of male students appearing in both exams was higher than that of the female students. Of the total students appearing for ICSE, 54 percent was male, while 46 percent was female. The ratio was similar for ICS exams. Meanwhile, 94,937 girls and 1,11,588 boys passed the ICSE exams, while 40,170 girls and 45,441 boys passed the ISC exams.
The exams were scheduled to be held in February and March but were postponed to July because of the COVID-19 outbreak. While all pending exams have been canceled for now due to a rise in the number of positive cases, marks for these will be calculated based on internal assessments.
The CISCE has also announced that the last date to apply for re-evaluation is 16 July. Candidates can check their results by logging onto www.cisce.org or www.results.cisce.org. The results can also be retrieved through SMS by typing ICSE/ISC (UNIQUE ID) and sending it to 09248082883.
The ICSE exams were conducted for 61 subjects, including nine foreign languages and 22 Indian languages.
