Conman loots people posing singer Sunitha’s nephew, Anantapur police launches manhunt

Anantapur: Anantapur police have registered a case against a young man for posing as nephew of Tollywood singer Sunitha and extracting money from people promising to organize her show in the city.

Identified as Chaitanya, a native of Ramagiri area, he was booked by Fourth Town police after a resident Chakali Ramesh registered a complaint that he duped him of Rs 5 lakh.

It may be recalled that a few days ago, singer Sunitha was enraged after news spread that Chaitanya is posing as her nephew and collecting money from gullible people.

To set the record straight, Sunitha went live on Facebook denouncing Chaitanya and urging people not to fall into his trap

In the video, Sunitha expressed that Chaitanya from Anantapur has been allegedly cheating some innocent people by posing as her nephew. He has already conned some people claiming to be a singer, she added.

Disappointed over the incident, Sunitha advised people not to fall into his trap. “Vaadu kanipisthe, pallu raalagodathaa (I will knock off his teeth if ever I meet him),” she said in Telugu.

Police have formed a team to nab conman Chaitanya.
