Complainant Spoorthy, a resident of Komapally, had a registered account with Ajio for online shopping. The complainant was utterly shocked to know that without any prior intimation Ajio had blocked her account.
When the complainant inquired from Ajio, they informed that due to the return of non Ajio products, they blocked the account. It was far from the truth as she had not returned any non Ajio products.
Spoorthy said Ajio had blocked her account because they had delivered the wrong product to the complainant and the issue was not settled by them.
She took it up with Ajio, but there was no response. The complainant called and even sent an email to solve the issue. However, the executives did not give any convincing reply. "Ajio has miserably failed in providing right and proper service despite receiving full payment," said the complainant.
Ajio failed to appear before the commission despite receiving the notices. The Commission proceeded with the case ex-parte.
The commission said that Ajio's reluctance to appear before them reflects the negligent attitude of the company.
"We are of the considered view that Ajio is deficient in rendering services to the complainant. As such, they are liable to refund the amount of Rs.25,000. They are also liable to pay compensation of Rs 5000 and Rs 2000 for the cost of litigation to the complainant for deficient acts," added the commission.
