Coronavirus: Two more positive cases reported in Andhra Pradesh taking the number to 10

A 22-year-old man, who returned to Vijayawada from Washington via Delhi on 2 March, was admitted to Government General Hospital in Vijayawada with suspected symptoms of Corona virus on 23 March. He tested positive on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, a 52-year-old man from Guntur, who was admitted to a private hospital in Vijayawada with suspected symptoms of the virus, also tested positive on Wednesday. He had attended a religious meeting in Delhi on 14 March and had stayed at a mosque with 20 others. On 19 March, he had returned to Guntur by train.
So far, 312 samples have been tested in Andhra Pradesh, of which 289 were negative, 10 tested positive, and results for 13 samples are pending.
Officials of the health and family welfare department said one more Corona-positive patient from Andhra Pradesh was admitted to Gandhi Medical College in Secunderabad. He was directly admitted to the Telangana hospital and did not visit Andhra Pradesh.
