COVID 19: Telangana reports 186 fresh COVID cases, one new death on Wednesday

One new death is reported on January 26, taking the total tally to 1,594. The fatality rate in the state is 0.54 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.4 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 35 new cases while Rangareddy reported 15 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajgiri reported 12 new cases while Karimnagar reported 11 new cases.
Around 306 citizens recovered from the infection on Wednesday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,89,631. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 98.53 per cent, which approximately one per cent higher than the national average of 96.9 per cent.
The government tested 31,119 citizens for the virus on Wednesday. So far 77,59,415 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 2,08,474. Still, 494 reports are awaited.
The state currently has 2,698 active cases. Of the total active cases, 1,213 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state bulletin, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
