COVID 19: Telangana reports 189 fresh COVID cases, two new deaths on Monday

Two new death was reported on January 25, taking the total tally to 1,592. The fatality rate in the state is 0.54 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.4 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 38 new cases while Rangareddy reported 12 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajgiri reported 11 cases while Nalgonda and Warangal Urban reported 9 cases each.

Around 349 citizens recovered from the infection on Monday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,88,926. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 98.41 per cent, which approximately one per cent higher than the national average of 96.9 per cent.
The government tested 29,449 citizens for the virus on Monday. So far 77,11,810 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 2,07,195. Still, 204 reports are awaited.
The state currently has 3,072 active cases. Of the total active cases, 1,543 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state bulletin, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities
