COVID 19: Telangana reports 147 fresh COVID cases, active cases drop below 3000

One new death was reported on January 26, taking the total tally to 1,593. The fatality rate in the state is 0.54 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.4 per cent.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 32 new cases while Rangareddy reported 12 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Karimnagar and Warangal reported 9 cases each.
Around 399 citizens recovered from the infection on Tuesday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,89,325. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 98.49 per cent, which approximately one per cent higher than the national average of 96.9 per cent.
The government tested 16,486 citizens for the virus on Tuesday. So far 77,28,296 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 2,07,638. Still, 228 reports are awaited.
The state currently has 2,819 active cases. Of the total active cases, 1,295 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state bulletin, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities
