COVID 19: Telangana reports less than 100 new cases after 8 months
Telangana reported 99 new COVID cases on Sunday taking the overall tally to 2,96,673 in the state.

Two new deaths are reported on February 14 taking the total death tally to 1,618. The fatality rate in the state is 0.54 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.4 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 24 new cases while Rangareddy reported 10 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the decrease in cases. Karimnagar reported 9 cases while Medchal Malkajigiri reporter 8 cases.
Around 169 citizens recovered from the infection on Sunday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,93,379. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 98.88 per cent, which approximately one per cent higher than the national average of 97.3 per cent.
The government tested 15,766 citizens for the virus on Sunday. So far 83,11,404 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 2,23,304. Still, 415 reports are awaited.
The state currently has 1,676 active cases. Of the total active cases, 705 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state bulletin, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
