COVID 19: Telangana reports 163 fresh COVID cases, one death on Saturday
Around 146 citizens recovered from the infection on Saturday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,94,243.

Hyderabad: Telangana reported 163 new COVID cases on Saturday taking the overall tally to 2,97,598 in the state.
The state reported one new death on February 20 taking the total death tally to 1,624. The fatality rate in the state is 0.54 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.4 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 29 new cases while Rangareddy reported 12 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing a decrease in cases. Medchal Malkajigir reported 11 cases while Karimnagar reported 10 cases.
Around 146 citizens recovered from the infection on Saturday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,94,243. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 98.87 per cent, which approximately one per cent higher than the national average of 97.2 per cent.
The government tested 23,607 citizens for the virus on Saturday. So far 84,56,940 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 2,27,214. Still, 692 reports are awaited.
The state currently has 1,731 active cases. Of the total active cases, 678 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state bulletin, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
