Hyderabad: Telangana vaccinated only 45.5 per cent of the beneficiaries on 22 January. Of the total 28,433 beneficiaries who were to be vaccinated on Friday, only 12,944 were vaccinated at 489 session sites.

The state has crossed the one-lakh mark and vaccinated around 1,10,248 health care workers till Friday, which is around 64 per cent of the total beneficiaries.

Meanwhile, five cases of adverse event following immunization (AEFI) were reported on Friday. All are stable, said the government. It also announced that COVID-19 vaccination for private health care workers will start from 25 January.

The total number of health care workers who have received the COVID-19 vaccine in India stood at 12.7 lakh (12,72,097) till 6 p.m on Friday, as per the provisional report.

On the seventh day of the nationwide vaccination, 2,28,563 beneficiaries were vaccinated till 6 p.m through 6,230 sessions.

In Andhra Pradesh, 1,27,726 beneficiaries have been vaccinated till Friday.
