COVID 19: Telangana reports 1,015 fresh COVID cases, three deaths on Wednesday

Three new deaths are reported on November 11 taking the total tally to 1,393. The fatality rate in the state is 0.54 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.

COVID 19: Telangana reports 1,015 fresh COVID cases, three deaths on Wednesday


Hyderabad: Telangana reported 1,015 new COVID cases on Wednesday taking the overall tally to 2,54,66 in the state.

Three new deaths are reported on November 11 taking the total tally to 1,393. The fatality rate in the state is 0.54 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 172 new cases while Rangareddy reported 98 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 97 new cases while Khammam reported 48 new cases.

Around 1,716 citizens recovered from the infection on Wednesday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,35,950. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 92.65 per cent, which approximately equals the national average of 92.8 per cent.

The government tested 40,603 citizens for the virus on Wednesday. So far 47,70,004 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 1,28,157. Still, 377 reports are awaited. 17,865 primary contacts are tested on Wednesday while 4,872 secondary contacts are tested.

The state currently has 17,323 active cases. Of the total active cases, 14,694 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic. According to the state, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
