COVID 19: Telangana reports 1,058 fresh COVID cases, Four deaths on Thursday

Four new deaths are reported on November 19 taking the total tally to 1,423. The fatality rate in the state is 0.54 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 154 new cases while Rangareddy reported 70 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 84 new cases while Bhadradri Kothagudem reported 54 new cases.
Around 1,057 citizens recovered from the infection on Thursday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,47,790. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 94.67 per cent, which approximately one per cent higher than the national average of 93.6 per cent.
The government tested 39,448 citizens for the virus on Thursday. So far 50,50,612 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 1,35,696. Still, 784 reports are awaited.
The state currently has 12,515 active cases. Of the total active cases, 10,245 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state bulletin, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
