COVID 19: Telangana reports 1,602 fresh COVID cases, Four deaths on Thursday
By Newsmeter Network Published on 6 Nov 2020 3:18 AM GMTHyderabad: Telangana reported 1,602 new COVID cases on Thursday taking the overall tally to 2,47,284 in the state.
Four new deaths are reported on November 5 taking the total tally to 1,366. The fatality rate in the state is 0.55 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 295 new cases while Rangareddy reported 118 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 137 new cases while Khammam reported 79 new cases.
Around 982 citizens recovered from the infection on Thursday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,26,646. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 91.65 per cent, which approximately one per cent lower to the national average of 92.2 per cent.
The government tested 46,970 citizens for the virus on Thursday. So far 45,31,153 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 1,21,739. Still, 555 reports are awaited. 19,272 primary contacts are tested on Thursday while 5,636 secondary contacts are tested.
The state currently has 19,272 active cases. Of the total active cases, 16,522 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
