COVID 19: Telangana reports 1,637 fresh COVID cases, Six deaths on Tuesday
By Newsmeter Network Published on 4 Nov 2020 3:33 AM GMTHyderabad: Telangana reported 1,637 new COVID cases on Tuesday taking the overall tally to 2,44,506 in the state.
Six new deaths are reported on November 3 taking the total tally to 1,357. The fatality rate in the state is 0.55 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 292 new cases while Rangareddy reported 136 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 129 new cases while Karimnagar reported 90 new cases.
Around 1,273 citizens recovered from the infection on Tuesday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,24,686. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 92.03 per cent, which approximately higher to the national average of 92.1 per cent.
The government tested 45,526 citizens for the virus on Tuesday. So far 44,39,856 samples have been tested in the state.
Samples tested per million population stand at 1,19,286. Still, 740 reports are awaited. 20,031 primary contacts are tested on Tuesday while 5,463 secondary contacts are tested.
The state currently has 18,100 active cases. Of the total active cases, 15,335 are under home isolation.
Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases.
The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
