COVID 19: Telangana reports 502 fresh COVID cases, active cases fall below 10,000

Hyderabad: Telangana reported 502 new COVID cases on Monday taking the overall tally to 2,70,318 in the state.

Three new deaths are reported on November 30 taking the total tally to 1,461. The fatality rate in the state is 0.54 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 101 new cases while Rangareddy reported 32 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 46 new cases while Bhadradri Kothagudem 33 new cases.

Around 1 citizens recovered from the infection on Monday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,59,230. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 95.89 per cent, which approximately two per cent higher than the national average of 93.9 per cent.

The government tested 46,597 citizens for the virus on Sunday. So far 55,00,597 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 1,47,771. Still, 456 reports are awaited.

The state currently has 9,627 active cases. Of the total active cases 7,586 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.

According to the state bulletin, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
