COVID 19: Telangana reports 502 fresh COVID cases, Three deaths on Sunday

Hyderabad: Telangana reported 952 new COVID cases on Monday taking the overall tally to 2,58,828 in the state.

Three new deaths are reported on November 16 taking the total tally to 1,410. The fatality rate in the state is 0.54 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 150 new cases while Rangareddy reported 68 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 77 new cases while Nalgonda reported 45 new cases.

Around 1,602 citizens recovered from the infection on Monday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,43,686. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 94.14 per cent, which approximately equals the national average of 93.4 per cent.

The government tested 38,245 citizens for the virus on Monday. So far 49,29,974 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 1,32,454. Still, 600 reports are awaited. 16,827 primary contacts are tested on Monday while 4,589 secondary contacts are tested.

The state currently has 13,732 active cases. Of the total active cases, 11,313 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.

According to the state bulletin, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
