COVID 19: Telangana reports 592 fresh COVID cases, Three deaths on Saturday
Around 643 citizens recovered from the infection on Saturday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,73,013.

Hyderabad: Telangana reported 592 new COVID cases on Saturday taking the overall tally to 2,81,414 in the state.
Three new deaths are reported on December 19 taking the total tally to 1,513. The fatality rate in the state is 0.53 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 119 new cases while Rangareddy reported 57 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 70 new cases while Warangal Urban reported 40 new cases.
Around 643 citizens recovered from the infection on Saturday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,73,013. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 97.01 per cent, which approximately more than one per cent higher than the national average of 95.5 per cent.
The government tested 41,970 citizens for the virus on Saturday. So far 64,01,082 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 1,73,107. Still, 515 reports are awaited.
The state currently has 6,888 active COVID cases. Of the total active cases, 4,719 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state bulletin, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
