COVID 19: Telangana reports 593 fresh COVID cases, Three deaths on Sunday

Hyderabad: Telangana reported 593 new COVID cases on Sunday taking the overall tally to 2,69,816 in the state.

Three new deaths are reported on November 29 taking the total tally to 1,458. The fatality rate in the state is 0.54 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 119 new cases while Rangareddy reported 61 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 55 new cases while Karimnagar 40 new cases.

Around 1,058 citizens recovered from the infection on Sunday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,58,336. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 95.74 per cent, which approximately two per cent higher than the national average of 93.8 per cent.

The government tested 33,040 citizens for the virus on Sunday. So far 54,53,461 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 1,46,519. Still, 364 reports are awaited.

The state currently has 10,022 active cases. Of the total active cases, 7,946 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.

According to the state bulletin, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
