Hyderabad: Telangana reported 602 new COVID cases on Sunday taking the overall tally to 2,64,128 in the state.
Three new deaths are reported on November 22 taking the total tally to 1,433. The fatality rate in the state is 0.54 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 129 new cases while Rangareddy reported 62 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 60 new cases while Karimnagar reported 51 new cases.
Around 1,015 citizens recovered from the infection on Sunday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,51,468. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 95.20 per cent, which approximately one per cent higher than the national average of 93.7 per cent.
The government tested 24,139 citizens for the virus on Sunday. So far 51,58,474 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 1,38,594. Still, 281 reports are awaited.
The state currently has 11,227 active cases. Of the total active cases, 8,942 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state bulletin, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
