COVID 19: Telangana reports 609 fresh COVID cases, Three deaths on Wednesday
Around 873 citizens recovered from the infection on Wednesday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,61,028.

Hyderabad: Telangana reported 609 new COVID cases on Wednesday taking the overall tally to 2,71,492 in the state.
Three new deaths is reported on December 3 taking the total tally to 1,465. The fatality rate in the state is 0.53 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 114 new cases while Rangareddy reported 48 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 45 new cases while Khammam 24 new cases.
Around 873 citizens recovered from the infection on Wednesday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,61,028. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 96.14 per cent, which approximately two per cent higher than the national average of 94.1 per cent.
The government tested 53,686 citizens for the virus on Wednesday. So far 56,05,306 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 1,50,599. Still, 676 reports are awaited.
The state currently has 8,999 active cases. Of the total active cases, 6,922 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state bulletin, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
