COVID 19: Telangana reports 613 fresh COVID cases, Three deaths on Thursday
By Newsmeter Network Published on 11 Dec 2020 4:06 AM GMTHyderabad: Telangana reported 612 new COVID cases on Thursday taking the overall tally to 2,76,516 in the state.
Three new deaths are reported on December 10 taking the total tally to 1,485. The fatality rate in the state is 0.53 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 144 new cases while Rangareddy reported 73 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 60 new cases while Warangal Urban reported 29 new cases.
Around 502 citizens recovered from the infection on Thursday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,67,427. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 96.71 per cent, which approximately two per cent higher than the national average of 94.8 per cent.
The government tested 56,178 citizens for the virus on Thursday. So far 60,29,209 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 1,61,988. Still, 677 reports are awaited.
The state currently has 7,604 active cases. Of the total active cases, 5,511 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state bulletin, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
