COVID 19: Telangana reports 627 fresh COVID cases, Four deaths on Friday
Around 721 citizens recovered from the infection on Friday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,72,370.

Three new deaths are reported on December 18 taking the total tally to 1,510. The fatality rate in the state is 0.53 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 123 new cases while Rangareddy reported 52 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 48 new cases while Karimnagar and Khammam both reported 32 new cases.
Around 721 citizens recovered from the infection on Friday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,72,370. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 96.99 per cent, which approximately more than one per cent higher than the national average of 95.5 per cent.
The government tested 46,694 citizens for the virus on Friday. So far 64,01,082 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 1,71,979. Still, 669 reports are awaited.
The state currently has 6,942 active COVID cases. Of the total active cases, 4,814 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state bulletin, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
