COVID 19: Telangana reports 857 fresh COVID cases, Four deaths on Sunday
Telangana reported 857 new COVID cases on Saturday taking the overall tally to 2,51,188 in the state.

Four new deaths are reported on November 8 taking the total tally to 1,381. The fatality rate in the state is 0.54 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 250 new cases while Rangareddy reported 88 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 61 new cases while Karimnagar reported 48 new cases.
Around 1,504 citizens recovered from the infection on Sunday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,30,568. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 91.79 per cent, which approximately one per cent lower to the national average of 92.5 per cent.
The government tested 23,806 citizens for the virus on Sunday. So far 46,42,276 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 1,24,859. Still, 476 reports are awaited.10,474 primary contacts are tested on Sunday while 2,856 secondary contacts are tested.
The state currently has 19,239 active cases. Of the total active cases, 16,449 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
