COVID 19: Telangana reports 921 fresh COVID cases, Four deaths on Monday

Four new deaths are reported on November 23 taking the total tally to 1,437. The fatality rate in the state is 0.54 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 146 new cases while Rangareddy reported 61 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 81 new cases while Bhadradri Kothagudem reported 71 new cases.
Around 1,097 citizens recovered from the infection on Monday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,52,565. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 95.28 per cent, which approximately one per cent higher than the national average of 93.7 per cent.
The government tested 42,740 citizens for the virus on Monday. So far 52,01,214 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 1,39,742. Still, 281 reports are awaited.
The state currently has 11,047 active cases. Of the total active cases, 8,720 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state bulletin, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
