COVID 19: Telangana reports 997 fresh COVID cases, four deaths on Thursday

Four new deaths are reported on November 12 taking the total tally to 1,397. The fatality rate in the state is 0.54 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 169 new cases while Rangareddy reported 66 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 85 new cases while Karimnagar reported 49 new cases.
Around 1,222 citizens recovered from the infection on Thursday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,37,663. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 92.76 per cent, which approximately equals the national average of 92.9 per cent.
The government tested 42,163 citizens for the virus on Thursday. So far 48,12,167 samples have been tested in the state.
Samples tested per million population stand at 1,29,289. Still, 391 reports are awaited. 18,551 primary contacts are tested on Thursday while 5.059 secondary contacts are tested.
The state currently has 17,094 active cases. Of the total active cases, 14,466 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
